At FGRA we believe:

  • In the celebration of our “western” heritage by supporting the country/western lifestyle as throughout history, the country/western lifestyle has been accepting of all persons.
  • That through the collaboration between organizations in which we share common interests and beliefs that our entire community benefits.

  • In supporting agencies and organizations that benefit our community.
  • That through education, participation and training in both rodeo and the western lifestyle, that individuals, groups and the community benefit.

About FGRA

The Florida Gay Rodeo Association, or FGRA, is an incorporated entity in the State of Florida.

FGRA, Inc., is a 501(C)(3)organization. Contributions to FGRA are tax exempt to the fullest extent allowed by law.

FGRA is a member of the International Gay Rodeo Association, or IGRA.  IGRA is an organization comprised of numerous regional Gay Rodeo Associations from across the United States and Canada.  IGRA, in collaboration with member associations, assist these associations in raising and donating thousands of dollars to charities in their communities each year.

The Gay and Lesbian Communities of the United States and Canada have been enriched by the educational efforts of IGRA through its sanctioning and sponsorship of the various events and activities that make up Gay Rodeo.  For more information about IGRA you can visit the IGRA website.

FGRA is organized with a Board of Directors that includes the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and IGRA Trustee. The Board of Directors will manage various standing and ad hoc committee chairs to help conduct the business of the organization.

 

FGRA Mission Statement:

The Florida Gay Rodeo Association shall operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The FGRA shall engage in various charitable activities, including volunteer efforts by the FGRA and its members, and the raising of funds and monies. All proceeds from these activities shall be donated to other 501(C)(3) organizations, including, but not limited to, organizations that provide care support and education to persons and families with AIDS/HIV, to children and families stricken by life threatening illness or injury, to families and communities needing emergency support and assistance following a disaster, and/or organizations that provide for animal welfare and education.
