Join FGRA

The Florida Gay Rodeo Association is now accepting membership applications.

As a member of FGRA you will be eligible to compete in IGRA sanctioned rodeos. You'll also receive our newsletter - the Corral, and invitations to our Association parties, and rodeo play days!

Starting this year (2010) we will be moving to calendar year memberships and renewals. This means that this year's new membership, or this year's renewal cost will be pro-rated depending on the number of months remaining in the year. You can review the Pro-rated Membership Fee chart to determine the new membership or renewal fee during 2010.

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

Membership in the organization is open to anyone who supports the cause and mission of the association.  This includes members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and straight communities.

There are several levels of membership in FGRA:

INDIVIDUAL
This membership category is for an individual, allows full voting rights on matters brought before the FGRA general membership.

This membership level includes:

  • Name Badge
  • FGRA Newsletter
  • Membership in FGRA Yahoo Group
  • One voting privilege

FAMILY
This membership category allows two individuals to join FGRA as a family.  Family members must live at the same address and they receive one vote per family member on matters brought before the FGRA general membership. 

This membership level includes:

  • Name Badge
  • FGRA Newsletter
  • Membership in FGRA Yahoo Group
  • Two voting privileges

SILVER SPUR
This special membership category is for individuals who donate $100 or more to the FGRA and allows one vote on matters brought before the FGRA general membership. 

This membership level includes:

  • Name Badge(s)
  • FGRA Newsletter
  • Membership in FGRA Yahoo Group
  • One voting privilege (one each if family)
  • One Sunshine Stampede Rodeo weekend ticket package*

GOLD SPUR
This special membership category is for individuals who donate $200 or more to the FGRA and allows one or two votes on matters brought before the FGRA general membership.

This membership level includes:

  • Name Badge(s)
  • FGRA Newsletter
  • Membership in FGRA Yahoo Group
  • One voting privilege (one each if family)
  • Recognition on the FGRA website, and in the FGRA Newsletter
  • Verbal recognition at the Sunshine Stampede
  • Two Sunshine Stampede Rodeo weekend ticket packages*
  • Two passes to the Premium seating area at the Sunshine Stampede

PLATINUM SPUR
This special membership category is for individuals who donate $500 or more to the FGRA and allows one or two votes on matters brought before the FGRA general membership.

This membership level includes:

  • Name Badge(s)
  • FGRA Newsletter
  • Membership in FGRA Yahoo Group
  • One or two voting privileges
  • Recognition on the FGRA website, and in the FGRA Newsletter
  • Verbal recognition at the Sunshine Stampede
  • Two Sunshine Stampede Rodeo weekend ticket packages*
  • Two passes to the Premium seating area at the Sunshine Stampede
  • One Rodeo T-shirt, if produced
  • Two passes to Patron Reception held during the Sunshine Stampede, if scheduled

CORPORATE
This membership category is designed for vendors and other representatives who wish to join the FGRA through their business entity, vs. a personal or individual membership. The Corporate membership allows one vote in any matter brought for the FGRA general membership.

HONORARY
The Honorary Member category is designated to an individual by the Board of Trustees for continuous dedication and conspicuous service to FGRA.

NOTE: Membership categories are defined in the FGRA Bylaws.

*Rodeo Weekend Ticket Package includes Saturday's rodeo performance, Sunday's rodeo performance, and the "Sunset Stampede" or "Southernmost Hoedown" Saturday night dance if one is produced.

All membership categories in the FGRA will receive the organizational newsletter as well as invitations to various events, meetings, and activities held throughout the State of Florida.

FGRA does not allow non-members access to its membership records and only the Executive Board will have access to all personal information.  However, as required by IGRA (International Gay Rodeo Association), names of all FGRA members are reported to the Secretaries of IGRA sanctioned rodeos for verification of competition eligibility only.  Furthermore, for the protection of our members, any FGRA publications either print or electronic will only list a member by either their nickname i.e. Cowboy John or first name and last initial i.e. Jane D.  This will also be evident on your Name Badge.

FGRA, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization.  Contributions to FGRA are tax exempt to the fullest extent allowed by law.
